Summary

Firstly: I want to mention it is a Re-design App not just a face-left,

Secondly: Takasi Web App is an App which allows Taxi Companies to control their Mobile Application which present transportation service, it designed to solve some of problems and replace the old tool what they was using.

Thirdly: These users was using a dispatching system directly, and that cased a lot of problems furthermore difficulty of usage.

More over: This app playing mediator role between dispatching system and Mobile Applications.

Finally: This app designed to be usable, intuitive and familiar for users.

Problem

The Old Takasi web app designed to be familiar for actual users, but it was't usable for new users for some reasons, such as:

  1. The App was so imitator of the old tool/dispatching system.

  2. Users have to educate new colleagues on app to can be able to use.

Further more instead of bad User interface the App had a lot of other problems, such as:

  1. App navigation was complicated.

  2. Tasks  was taking a long time to be done.

  3. Application is so complicated to add or view.

  4. No consistency.

  5. Most of action done without confirmation.

  6. Bad communication language.

Goal

Refactor old platform by improving user experience and create new user interface to be more intuitive and usable

Challenges

  1. Business concerns on huge changes!

  2. Always we have a new features so time is so narrow to refactor.

  3. Users actually usual to use old mobile app even it bad or hard, so any small change will be a huge challenge.

My Proposal

Honestly, it was difficult to start directly, so i started to arrange work with business and decide to fix problem first, then i arranged it in phases:

First Phase:

Starting to fix experience issues, like accessibility, arranging information and some enhances like font size, expressive icons and buttons.

Second Phase:

  • Getting a "feedback" from user to get a real pain points.

  • Wire-framing the result, and discuss it with business and technical lead.

Third Phase:

Getting a quantitive feedback from users to validate experience.

Increasing interactive features to make more engagement.

Fourth Phase:

Starting to change user interface after measuring and evaluating experience on new features first and take feedback.

Fifth Phase:

Revamping user interface and some of interactions and new features which reflect the new experience.

Cancellation Policy Feature

Takasi is a platform which serve muliple Taxi mobile applications  in Spain, Taxi company can custome rules and permision to fit their business, so cancellation policy allows users to craft their needs and design their rules when the end users of taxi mobile application try to cancel their trip

This feature handle rules of:

  1. Cancellation time.

  2. Deduction type and amount.

  3. Action after cancelation of scheduled trip.
